Students will also use custom stamps to add imprinted texture and detail to their work before decorating their pieces with underglaze.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThroughout the workshop, you will be guided through the process of constructing your forms and experimenting with surface decoration techniques to bring personality and colour to your creations. These foundational hand building skills can be applied to many future clay projects.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOnce the workshop is completed, students’ pieces will be bisque-fired. A clear glaze will then be applied to make the pieces food-safe and functional before they are fired for the final time. It can take up to 3 weeks for pieces to be completed. While she first explored wheel throwing, she quickly found her creative voice through hand building and has focused her practice there ever since.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOver the past year, Sara has immersed herself in studying surface texture, decorative techniques, glaze chemistry, mold making, and slip casting. Alongside her pottery practice, she works as a 3D artist, an influence that can be seen in her attention to texture, form, and detail.
