One-on-One Private Workshop

Do you ever feel like you’re stuck repeating the same throwing habits, or having a hard time progressing?
Whether you’re just getting started or have some experience on the wheel, a one-on-one private workshop might be exactly what you need.

In a personalized session, Brooke will work closely with you to assess your current techniques, identify areas that are holding you back, and offer clear, practical guidance on how to improve. This workshop is designed for both beginner and intermediate potters, meeting you at your current skill level and helping you build confidence and consistency.

With focused, one-on-one support, you’ll receive real-time feedback, tailored demonstrations, and hands-on guidance specific to your needs. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your process, practical adjustments you can apply right away, and the momentum to keep progressing on the wheel.

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate

This lesson is not suitable for individuals with no prior clay experience or for those at an advanced skill level. Participants must have completed a beginner workshop within the past year to be eligible.

What to expect:

Your session will focus on skills within your instructor’s areas of experience and specialty. Brooke primarily works with forms under 4 lbs and brings an approach to the wheel that emphasizes consistency, comfort, and enjoyment over strict precision.

She is an excellent fit if you’re looking to build confidence, improve your technique, and explore forms in a relaxed, supportive environment. However, if your goal is highly technical work requiring exact measurements—such as precision-fitted lidded jars—this workshop may not be the best fit.

Materials:
For one-on-one sessions, students are required to bring their own clay. Any pieces created during the workshop are yours to keep, and you may choose how you’d like to proceed with them after the session.

Please note that you are responsible for managing your work beyond the workshop, including tracking, trimming, and arranging for firing. Students with an active Clay Warehouse membership may treat these pieces as they would any work created during an open studio session. Students without an active membership can arrange firing through our Kiln Firing Service.

Studio Time:

Each session includes guided one-on-one instruction with the teacher, along with additional studio time to practice and reinforce what you’ve learned. Two booking options are available:

• 1 hour of instruction, plus 2 hours of studio time - $150
• 2 hours of instruction, plus 1 hour of studio time
- $250

Please note that all bookings must include a dedicated 30-minute cleanup period within the total time. Students are responsible for cleaning their workspace in accordance with The Clay Warehouse's studio policies and practices.
