The CW HB 101 - Beginners Hand Building Workshop (6 Weeks)

New to Pottery & Ceramics? Look no further; this workshop is for you! It's designed for beginners in hand-building or those looking to try a method other than the potter's wheel.

The Clay Warehouse's HB 101 Beginners Hand-Building Workshop is all about getting creative, having a good time, and experimenting with clay in a friendly environment. In this 6-week course, you will learn basic clay terminology along with fundamental hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building. Students will also be taught basic glazing techniques.

The class is kept small, ensuring each student gets the opportunity for one-on-one attention. All levels of experience are welcome and targeted at beginners. Each workshop takes place over 6 weeks, with 2.5 hours per class. All clay, tools, and supplies for this workshop are provided. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 6 students to ensure plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor.

No Clay Experience Required:

This class is ideal for those new to clay, seeking a different method than the potter's wheel, or looking to refresh old skills.

We plan our class dates far in advance to provide adequate notice for you to plan your life around our 6-week course. We ask that future students registering for this class commit to all class dates. We understand that life happens, and we do allow for one free make-up session. Make-up sessions are intended for students to catch up on missed class time and are not supervised by the teacher.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the first workshop date and are subject to a $50 administration fee. Cancellations made 6 days or less before the workshop are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy for medical circumstances or any other situation. Refunds will not be issued on cancellations made 6 days or less before a workshop start date or once a workshop has begun.

As a small business, we rely on each class being fully booked to cover the costs of our instructors, materials, and equipment. Our cancellation policy allows us to plan accordingly and ensure we can continue offering workshops.
