Red Iron Oxide - Various Sizes

Red Iron Oxide is one of the most common colourants in ceramics and has the highest amount of iron. It produces a wide range of earthy glaze colours: brown, yellow, rusty-reds and near-black in oxidation firings. In Reduction firings blue/green celadons to black are produced. Effects will vary based on temperature, concentration, glaze chemistry, etc.
