SPECIAL WORKSHOP* Slab-built Pet Bowl w/ Indoor Ceramics (ONE-TIME WORKSHOP)

Workshop Details:

Elevate your pet’s dining experience with a handmade, slab-built bowl created in this fun and beginner-friendly workshop!

Brendan will guide you through the process of building a custom pet food bowl perfectly sized for your furry friend. Using the slab-building technique, you’ll shape and form your piece, then explore ways to add your own personal touch.

Decorate your bowl with textures, patterns, and finishes that reflect your pet’s personality — because even they deserve something made with love!

Workshop Description Breakdown:

Location: The Clay Warehouse - #11-1770 McLean Ave. Port Coquitlam, BC, V3C 4K8

Dates & Time: Tuesday, December 15 from 5:30 - 8:00 PM

Who Should Attend/Skill Prerequisites: No clay experience required!

Technique: Hand building using the slab method (NO WHEEL WORK)

Tools and equipment: Slab roller, rolling pin, table work, decoration tools

Project: Learn how to make a customized pet bowl using the hand building slab method!

Materials: All materials for this class are included, such as clay, glazes, tools and firing services.

Post Workshop: Once your piece is finished, we will fire it in our kiln twice. Once bisque fired, Brendan will dip your mugs into a clear glaze to make the pet bowl food safe. Please give us 5 weeks to finish you piece from the last day of class.

Time until your art piece is ready for pick up: 5-weeks (email will be sent out when your piece is ready to pick up) PIECES WILL NOT BE READY IN TIME FOR HOLIDAY GIFTING.

No Clay Experience Required:

This workshop is great for folks who have never worked with clay before. All levels of clay experience are welcome.

Ensure you can commit to all class dates:

We plan our class dates far in advance to provide adequate notice for you to plan your life around our courses. We ask that future students registering for this class commit to all class dates. No make up sessions are given for special workshops.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the first workshop date and are subject to a $50 administration fee. Cancellations made 6 days or less before the workshop are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy for medical circumstances, unexpected works travel, or any other situation. Refunds will not be issued on cancellations made 6 days or less before a workshop start date and once a workshop has begun.

As a small business, we rely on each class being fully booked to cover the costs of our instructors, materials, and equipment. Our cancellation policy allows us to plan accordingly and ensure we can continue offering workshops.
