Speedball - Cornflower Studio Plus Glaze - Cone 06-6 - 2oz (2215)

This glossy glaze delivers a pop of bright blue color that is sure to be a studio favorite! This glaze can be used individually or mixed with other Studio Plus glazes to create unique colours. Cornflower offers translucent coverage with 1-2 coats, and is fully opaque with 3 average coats.

Speedball Studio Plus Glazes are designed to provide versatile results across a wide range of firing temperatures. For best results, we recommend bisque firing to Cone 05/04. The 6 mottling colours are intended specifically for low-fire temperatures (Cones 06/05), while the remaining 18 core colours can be fired from Cone 06 through Cone 6. Because results can vary depending on your clay body, glaze application, and firing schedule, we highly recommend making test tiles before using the glazes on finished pieces.

Keep in mind that the colours shown on a screen may not look exactly the same once fired. Monitor settings, application thickness, clay, and firing temperature can all affect the final colour and finish. Studio Plus Glazes can be adjusted with distilled water to thin them, or left open to allow moisture to evaporate and thicken them. The colours can also be mixed together to create new shades or layered with one another for different effects.

Studio Plus Glazes can be used alongside Speedball Underglazes and Mid-Fire Glazes. As with any glaze combination, we recommend testing your results first. If your finished pieces will be used for food, be sure to conduct your own dinnerware safety testing before use.
