Unplug from the daily grind of life while feeling inspired and escaping into a world of pottery practice and mindfulness.

By combining the benefits of breath, meditation, and movement, we aim to offer deeper access to holistic techniques of yoga and Hand building Pottery. Both ancient practices have mentally and physically soothing virtues and offer a direct contact with our senses. Taking time to learn without rushing or pushing helps us focus and reduce stress while offering new ways to express our creativity.

Earth is grounding. The contact with clay is directly connected to nature; it offers a grounding approach to us and our surroundings. It stimulates our haptic sensations and our potential to focus and teaches us detachment from expectations.

In this 4 hr, one-time workshop, students will begin with a one-hour intention-setting Yoga practice suitable for all levels: beginners, intermediates, and experts that want to take time to learn – with all senses.  Students will bring that intention off the mat into their clay and work to transform raw earth into ceramic pieces that require the same mindfulness used in the practice of yoga.

Instructor Natasha Hillyer from Create your own Divine Co is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). Natasha discovered her passion for Yoga in 2018 and her love of ceramics in 2014. Her yoga practice helped her to find her own internal Divine and she wishes to share these benefits with all who want to learn. Throughout her teachings she offers lots of options and wants everyone to know that their own journey with yoga is individual, no one’s practice will look the same and each day may be different. Ceramics has been a huge creative outlet for her, another way to allow her to unplug and be present. She loves to bring intention and nature into her artwork.
