New to Pottery & Ceramics? Look no further; this workshop is for you! This Wheel Throwing course is designed for beginners new to throwing on the pottery wheel or those looking to get back into pottery. The Clay Warehouse 101 Wheel Throwing Workshop will focus on the basic skills of working on the potter's wheel. In this 6-week course, you will learn basic clay terminology, how to prep and center your clay, glaze your wares, and everything in between.

You will be shown how to create basic forms on the pottery wheel during class, with lots of time to practice these different forms. You will learn specific tips and troubleshooting techniques to help you improve your pottery-making skills on the wheel. These lessons will not only help you grasp the essential skills required but will also assist you in avoiding many of the common pitfalls that beginner students face when learning to throw pottery. Not only will you leave this class with a basic understanding of wheel throwing, but you will also leave with a sense of community!

Each workshop takes place over 6 weeks, with 2.5 hours per class. All clay, tools, and supplies for this workshop are provided. Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 6 students to ensure lots of one-on-one time with your instructor.

Students who enroll in this class will have access to our online booking system to schedule a drop-in studio session. Booking open studio time during or after your class is a great way to build off the skills learned in class!

No Clay Experience Required:
